Ok I have noticed that since the change of my blog I have put in fun little titles! I believe I am going to try to keep this up. Now that the side note is out of the way.
Jumpers And Scouts!
I am going to try to build a jumper army based around jumpers and scouts. The battle plan is basically to send in the scouts with camo and scout moves and use them to harass the enemies. Depending on what I am facing going to use the assault troops and the death company to plow my way to the objective. Either by deep striking using decent of angels to land near the target or moving quickly from objective to objective.
For this I am going to try this List out.

Giving In Not Giving Up
Ok so for the longest time I have heard that the Blood Angel Codex is the best codex to play the Soul Drinkers. Heck even their creator said that you should play the chapter with a Blood Angel Codex.
At the same time people have said that the Blood Angels are cheese and that they are over powered, and I have just started with my friends and I didn't want to grab out to the most powerful army and be thought of as THAT GUY. You know the one I mean, the guy with no skill but wins often enough because he has the biggest whatever.
So here we are with the SM codex and I am using Gate of Infinity and Avenger and other such crazy trying to get around the board as fast as possible. Not doing a terrible job but not a great one either. A few of my friends said that I should try Blood Angels codex they think I would like their style.
Fast Forward to last night, I gave in and tried the codex out. I love it, I screwed up terrible and got eaten by nids. The good news though is I think I have some ideas, I think I can move this around. I am hooked.

The First and Worst
This is where the mistakes started if you take a good look at the primed model and its partner you will notice I didn't have a clue on how this type of plastic and primer reacted to the difference of temperature and humidity. You know this because of what I like to call the fluffy look, like the model has build up and bubble on some parts. Alot of this was because I tried to prime them to soon after stripping them, leaving a layer of water that I didn't realize was there on the model.
Here I added insult to injury by not thinning my paints down and putting a nice base coat over the whole of the model. I tried to be careful and not paint the edging you see on the center model but realized later that a base color makes a big difference to what the final color looks like once it is applied.
So in the end these are what you end up with when you try to strip and primer the models in the same day, and by going in and out of the house to do the priming. The lesson here is strip the models let them sit a couple of days. When you prime, take the primer and the models to where you will be doing the priming and leave them for about 45 minutes to become adjusted to temperature.
So here are some pictures from my first go around in painting. Most of these models are reclaims. Reclaims are gifts from friends that get you into the game and make you addicted. They are also how you learn what not to do when it comes to painting. A Reclaim is a model that was painted at least one time before and you have stripped and put on a new coat of primer. Not all reclaims are equal.

Heresy Is the Only Answer
Welcome to a change of venue for my blog! This was once "My Own Private Hell" now it has been changed to reflect a new life to this blog. I will be posting pictures and writing my experiences playing the game of Warhammer 40K.
I am also going to do some back grown posting of where are started painting six months ago and where I am now. I am going to talk about the things I learned and where in the process I learned them. As well as thanking the people who showed me what I did wrong and how to fix those mistakes for the next go around.
After a fustrating start playing 40k, I found that I really enjoyed the painting and sort of enjoyed the game play. Mostly because some traditional stratagies and tactics do not work on a 6 foot by 4 foot board. I have since through the help of my friends found alot more fun in the game play and so many enjoyable hours in the painting. My next post should be some pictures of my first models. Don't judge to harshly...... I only painted model cars before now.
